The Kumbh Mela is a mass Hindu pilgrimage which takes place every 12 years along the Ganges River. It is the largest religious festival in the world with thousands of holy men and women (Sadhus) in attendance. The sadhus are seen clad in saffron sheets with ashes and powder dabbed on their skin per the requirements of ancient traditions.

Agra is a small town (of 1.5 million) in India that is known for it's famous mausoleum: The Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is one of the most recognizable structures in the world and one of the most beautiful. Completed around 1653, it combines Persian, Islamic and Indian architectural styles in white marble.

New Delhi
New Delhi is the capital city of India, situated within the metropolis of Delhi. In 2001, New Delhi had a population of 18 Million making it the second largest metropolitan area in India after Mumbai. New Delhi is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Humayun's Tomb and the Qutb complex shown in a few of these photos.
